Killarney show

So I didn't win with my Roasted Capsicum and Ginger Relish, but Brisboy88 got to ride a horse and wear wellington boots and boy did he love it!

Saw the Governor General open the show and she looked fantastic - even down to her hot pink shoes traipsing across the mud to do the opening honours.

This is a quote from the Warwick Daily News:

"Dressed head to toe in pink, Governer General Quentin Bryce made a special appearance and mingled with the crowd in all her glamourous glory."

All in all a great weekend with campdrafting, dog trials, woodchop, dodgems, smashem up derby, fireworks and great company.

More spotting!

Spotted Faux Fuschia today on the bus going home yesterday afternoon. I was so excited! She looked fabulous in her Pucci dress. Is it rude to whip out your iphone and take a snap on a public bus? Probably.

So far I've bought a yellow cushion for the lounge - I'll post pics on Monday.

On the weekend we're heading to Killarney for the 100th Killarney show! I've made a roasted capsicum and ginger relish to put into the relish competition.

Bargains spotted

Riding in to work on the bus today along Latrobe Terrace, Paddington when out of the corner of my eye, I spot Adavera Shoes and they have a sale on!

Birkenstocks, Merrells, Rockport shoes for $50!

Target or the red dot boutique

Just looked at the latest Target catalogue and I'll be heading there tonight. There's a set of two nesting tables for $99, a metal lamp base for $20 and a glass candle holder for $20. I'm looking to glam up my lounge room.

Here's an inspiration for my colour scheme (book I'm reading at the moment).

Now, Target have these nested tables and yellow lamp available which I think will look good in the lounge room. I think I'll also get a yellow cushion. I'll have to put them on layby so I won't get them for a while.
